Dearest Linda & Family
We want you to know how deeply we feel and hold you in prayer at this time. It surely is a time when our Lord draws close to us and we feel His promises of comfort. Wish we could be there to be with you as you go through the service that we know will be a beautiful celebration of his life. He is home with our Lord and dear loved ones.
The tears will come and we have talked a lot about Jerry and the close friendship over the years. Thankful for our family times together growing up and the church activities so cherished. Coming to know our dear Lord and watching how the Lord led Jerry and he served so faithfully so wonderful.
Hope to talk and share in days to come.
Please know we send our love and continued prayers for your family.
Family in Christ. Doug & Judi

Dear Linda and family,
On behalf of all the chaplains and their families, Robin and I send our condolences and prayers. We are so grateful to the Lord for Jerry's love of country and our ministry. He was instrumental in helping support the ministries of all the chaplains through his leadership on the Eagle Commission. He always had a deep, personal interest and love for all of us that was so evident every time we had the opportunity to interact. He leaves a legacy of selfless service and a life committed to reaching others with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus as he lived out his faith in many organizations and ministries. May the peace of our Lord comfort your hearts and minds.
By grace,
Mark & Robin Penfold

Dear Linda and family,

We will always remember our times together at GBIF Board Meetings, Charis gatherings and visits to WV. Ted appreciated the 'hot tub meetings' where Jerry down-loaded his wisdom on how to be Chair and other matters of great importance. Jerry was always available for any impromptu discussions and we always loved his wry sense of humor and dry wit. He will be greatly missed by many, especially us. His faithfulness set a great example of Jesus' love and kindness for anyone who crossed his path. We know from the love of his family that he was also a man who was highly respected, whether at work, at home or in his many avenues of assisting others. We pray you all will be comforted in the peace of his home-going and the hope of eternity with Jesus, as you celebrate Jerry's life.

Our love to you all. Elise and Ted
