He was that caring Uncle who called to check up on you.
He was that Uncle at the end of every call who said, "God bless you."
He was that Uncle we took for granted.
He was that Uncle we loved.

Uncle Toots didn't have kids, because he already raised all of us. 

Not many are so fortunate to meet their real life heroes. I am so fortunate. He encouraged me to work hard and in the same light to see that there's a joke to be had in everything. The totoy, the little boy, still lives in me because of him. While he walked this earth, God smiled down on this man for making the most of the cards dealt to him. 

Salamat po, Uncle Toots. Thank you for making us part of your dream. Thank you for making this all possible. God bless you.


Uncle Toots was always so kind. I still remember when he would come by every Sunday after church with candy for us kids. Every Sunday was Easter! And he had a particular way of massaging our heads with a sort of karate chop that always made us laugh. As an adult I am grateful for how he helped my dad and the rest of his family by working as a merchant marine. He really was a kind, funny, and generous man. I hope he and my Uncle Mike are having a wonderful reunion.

Auntie Enring, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Toots passing.  Please know we are all here for you.  He was a great Uncle, made everyone laugh with his witty humor and generous to his nephews and nieces and loved by all of us.

It’s with profound sadness to announce the passing of my eldest (third to the eldest) brother Jose Gallardo Lopez, fondly called “Uncle Toots” by his nephews and nieces. He will be greatly missed by all of us, his good deeds and sacrifices were written deeply in our hearts. He never failed to keep up on what’s going on with our lives. I couldn’t be grateful enough that the day before he passed the news about my son has finally found a good and well paying job, has reached him. I know, he was very much filled with joy about it. He did really look out for our welfare when our father passed away. The very first one amongst us siblings to go and worked abroad, Australia and Canada before USA. He greatly supported us younger siblings in our education most especially. He didn’t get married until my youngest brother took his diploma in Electrical Engineering and it completed, four brothers are Electrical Engineers, except one of them has Mechanical Engr. as well. My best gratitude is how he led me to know Christ much more, never failed to send me Back to the Bible’s Yearly Calendar, took me to Riverdale Baptist Church to see Warren Weirsbie preaches, then Back to Bible’s President, and the Billy Graham Crusades. 
      How I’d know that his passing is same month and day (July 26) with my dearest friend Ina Bolton of which my thoughts are with her that evening, unbeknownst to me he’s passing at those moment? Ina passed exactly four months to hubby’s date! I know my brother is with the Lord now, no more pains and suffering. Absent from the body, but present with the Lord. Soli Deo Gloria—-for the glory of God alone.
       The Cornerstone of the Christian Faith is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection is the coping stone of the whole ministry of Jesus. If Christ is not risen, the preachings of the Apostles  is empty and the Christian Faith is empty as well. Christ has conquered Death and He holds the Keys to Death!

He was a very caring brothers to us , his 7 siblings and  nephews,neices, and grand neices and nephew.  He loved and trusted in saving grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
