Joyce Ann Smith

Joyce had a deep love for cross-stitch, a craft through which she expressed both patience and creativity. She was very active in her church, Calvary Bible Church, where her faith, kindness, and willingness to serve touched many lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Schwartz, and her husband Tony; her grandchildren Brandon Schwartz, Joshua Schwartz, Amanda Gentry, and Joseph Schwartz; and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy. She is also survived by her stepson, David Koenig and half-brother, Bernie.

In addition to her mother and stepfather Dayton Scheffel, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Smith; her brother, John Klein; and her beloved son, Dayton Owens.

Joyce will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery, laid to rest beside her husband, Byron.

Memorial Service will be at Calvary Bible Church on Friday, January 30th at 11 am. Calvary Bible Church is located at 501 Faulkner Ave, Martinsburg, WV, 25401.
