
Leona Mae “Cookie” Cook, 89, of Dallastown, PA went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 2, 2011 at her home.
Born on August 2, 1922 in Tomahawk, WV she was the daughter of the late Howard and Carolina V. (Shade) Horner.
She attended Keystone Baptist Church in Red Lion, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Horner, and three brothers, Hansel, Charles, and Bruce Horner.
She is survived by two daughters, Betty Francavilla of Vermont, and Carolyn Farmer of Pennsylvania; two sons, Edward Snyder of Texas and George Snyder of Florida; Fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 1 PM until the time of service at 2 PM at Rosedale Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
Leona was known for her love of life, children, and the Lord. She was always especially happy to have visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
