Leonard “Lenny” A. Lehman, 72, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on February 7, 1953, in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
Lenny was a devoted and loving husband to Janet Lehman and a proud father of Susan Kerns (Brian), Melinda Gerbich (Timothy), and James Lehman (Inez). He was a cherished grandfather to eight and a great-grandfather to one, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He was also a beloved brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Lenny was truly one of a kind—someone you never forgot once you met him. His joy was infectious, his desire to serve others unwavering, and his determination legendary. Within the community, Lenny wore many hats: chef, firefighter, paramedic, coach, and deacon. Yet above all else, he was a family man. His love for Janet was evident to everyone, and his children and grandchildren were the center of his world. His face would light up whenever he spoke of them.
We will miss Lenny more than words can express. He was, above all, a man of deep faith, and he would want us to remember—especially now—his constant reminder: “God is good, all the time. All the time God is good. It’s His very nature. WOW!”
A Celebration of Life will take place on January 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Charles Town Baptist Church, 221 S Mildred St, Charles Town, WV 25414.
