Lewis Bowers

Born on January 6, 1944 in Inwood, West Virginia and was the son of the late Roy Lee Bowers and Virgie M. (Braithwaite) Bowers.

Lewis was an active Senior Pastor for 40 years and continued to minister in various capacities in his retirement. He was Senior Pastor in Abilene, TX, Colorado Springs, CO, Jamestown, NY, Norwalk, OH, Taft, CA, Cerritos, CA and Burbank, CA. He was interim pastor in three locations in Maryland and Pennsylvania. In 2000, he went on a Mission Trip to Nigeria, West Africa.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Weidman) Bowers; son: Robert L.E. Bowers and wife Marianne of Las Vegas; daughter: Kimberly L. Kaetzel and husband Nathan of Great Cacapon, West Virginia; grandchildren: Hunter Kaetzel, Hailey Kaetzel, Nicholas Kaetzel, Logan Kaetzel, Vince Daley and Aeriale, and numerous nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews, and also many many friends.

In addition to his parents ,he is preceded in death by his siblings: Jeanette (Bowers) Pannuty, Naomi (Bowers) Seeders, Marvin Bowers, and John Bowers.

Services will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on June 18, 2022 with visitation to start at 12 pm and funeral services to follow at 1 pm. There will be live streaming of the service on the Rosedale Funeral Home and Cemetery Facebook page beginning at 12:50 pm.

Interment will be on Monday June 20, 2022 in Quantico National Cemetery at 10:00 am.
