Malyia Henry

Malyia Rae Edwards, age 20, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, passed away on March 20, 2026. Born on April 9, 2005, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Aaron Edwards and Sarah Twigg.

Malyia was a spirited, strong-willed young woman who loved deeply and wholeheartedly. She enjoyed candy, with caramel apple suckers being her favorite. She spent many hours listening to music and coloring, finding comfort and joy in the simple things. Malyia also had a special love for animals, especially her dog, Freya. A devoted “daddy’s girl” and the family comedian, she was known for her lively personality and for bringing smiles to others through her humor and the joy she found in her family.

In addition to her parents, Aaron and Sarah, Malyia is survived by her siblings: Kiayha Bradley, Kiara Bradley, Shi'Liah Edwards, Asantae Twyman, Trent Palmer, Jason Palmer, Alivia Twyman, Alaysia Twyman, Kinley Twigg, Michaela Camps, and Auryia Twigg; grandfather: James Edwards; aunts and Uncles: Amie N. Edwards, Ashley D. Twigg, Steven L. Twigg and Auston Edwards; niece and nephews: Kalani, Koa, Kylan, Shiloh, and Kasai; a host of many cousins; adopted moms: Jen Henry and Karen Flath whom she also considered her moms and whom loved her dearly, and special friend that was a huge part of her life, Jason Tumblin .

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lewis and Brenda Twigg, and her paternal grandmother, Linda Gall.
