Mary J Kearns

Born May 11, 1932 in Moorefield, WV. She was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Gladys See Neff.

Mary was of the Methodist faith and retired from Perfection Garment after 30 years. Later in life she became a certified nursing assistant and enjoyed taking care of those who were ill.

Some of Mary Jane’s favorite pass times was shopping, craft shows, Country and Bluegrass music and most of all family gatherings. She was very patriotic and an avid Mountaineer fan.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband and best friend of 63 years, Roger Kearns; daughter: Rebecca A. Morris, Barbara J. Edwards, Belinda G. Lewis; 10 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Rogers; brothers: Gene Neff, Randy Neff, and Richard Neff.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother James Neff. .

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the care givers, Barbara and Rhonda who both took excellent care of Mary Jane.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11:00 am in Rosedale Cemetery. Mary’s grandson, Pastor David Whittington, will preside over the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Grandsons: Matthew Whittington, Brad Frye, Geoff Frye, Trevor Lewis, Troy Lewis, Trent Lewis; honorary pallbearer will be grand-daughter Rhonda Middleton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
