Born July 29, 1931 in Gerrardstown, he was the son of the late William and Melissa McDonald.
Max worked as a mechanic for forty-two years at C.H. Musselman / Knouse Foods Plant.
He will be missed by his loving companion of 40 years, Peggy Locke; three sons: Steven McDonald and his wife, Glenda, David McDonald and his wife, Sandra, and Max McDonald; one sister, Evelyn Hess; two grandchildren: Angie Dugger and William Beglen; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 siblings.
Friends will be received on Friday from 11-1 at Rosedale Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Boggess officiating.
Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
