Michael Lance

Michael D. Lance, 62 was called home by his Lord and Savior on his birthday, August 28, 2025, at home with his wife by his side. He was born August 28, 1963 in Bedford, Virginia to John and Joann Lance.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy; mother, Joann Lance, brother John David (JD) Lance and wife Cindy Lance, his step son, Lucas Mason, Sister in law, Joan Neely and Tim, Brother's in law, Doug McDaniel, and Mike McDaniel and Kathy.

Michael's music and faith were the cornerstones of his life. As a gifted guitarist, he performed in 48 of our states and was well known and respected throughout the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Michael's journey "along the broken road" began with Peggy while he was a member of Grace Community Church in Winchester, VA whose values were a church for the saved and the unsaved. Often, the same people he entertained on Saturday night would show up Sunday morning to hear him worship and, in turn, hear the Word.

Although he would often say "God knows I like beer and we talk about it", he reached many lives with his music and testimony.

He will be missed.

Interment will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
