Michelle Wilhelm McGuire dedicated her life to public service. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Michelle continued her commitment to helping others through her career as a highly respected nurse. She was known for always putting patients and families first. At the bedside during life’s most difficult moments, Michelle offered insights that only her exceptional skill, deep knowledge, and keen observation could provide—guiding doctors and comforting loved ones with compassion and clarity.
Michelle’s presence touched countless lives. She will be forever missed, and the space left in the hearts of those who loved her is immeasurable.
She is survived by her deeply loved daughter, Stephanie McGuire; her husband, Terry McGuire, with whom she shared many meaningful years; her siblings, Miriam (Scott) Cohen and Tony (Teresa) Wilhelm; and her nieces, Courtney Cohen, Hanna Wilhelm, and Briana Brooks.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Carpenter; her father, Mark Wilhelm; her stepmother, Heidi Wilhelm; her nephew, Austin Cohen; and her grandparents, Leonard and Mary Jaworski, and George and Theresa Wilhelm.
In honor of Michelle’s enduring love for her family and her nephew, Austin, who was taken too soon by osteosarcoma, memorial donations may be made to the Osteosarcoma Collaborative to support research and families affected by this devastating disease.
