Born August 8, 1985 in Martinsburg, he was the son of Willis and Karen Smallwood.
Nathaniel was a 2003 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and was known for his contagious laugh and cute dimples.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Miranda McDonald and their daughter, Mackenzie Smallwood; and his daughter Karley Smallwood of Massachusetts; one sister, Margie Stotler and her husband, Matt; two nephews: Braeden and Mitchell Stotler; grandmothers: Peggy Smallwood and Margie Braswell; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Charles Detter and Willis Smallwood, Sr.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home with a short ceremony at 7:30pm.
