Born January 28, 1926 in Caldwell, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Ira Hewitt and Ida Mae Williams Gee.
Mrs. Sugar graduated in 1958 from Cunningham’s School of Beauty Culture in Richmond, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Ira Hewitt; and one sister, Pearl Vanlier.
Mrs. Sugar is survived by her husband of 67 years, Chester J. Plowden; two children, William Plowden and his wife Delia, and John Plowden; four grandchildren, Shayla Murray and husband Chris, Brandon Plowden, Tamyra Goodman, and Terrence Goodman, Jr.; and one great grandchild, Lariah Murray.
Funeral Services will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home at 2pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012 with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ed Hall and Rev. Sunny Price will be officiating.
