Perry Dorsey

Perry L. Dorsey Jr. of Martinsburg went to spend eternity with his wife on Friday July 21, 2023. He passed peacefully in his home with family by his side. Perry was born in Martinsburg May 1, 1943, the third child to Perry Sr. and Mary Ella (Snow) Dorsey. Marrying the love his life in 1965, they raised five kids together. Perry worked as an electrician at National Fruit and provided a good life for his family. He enjoyed playing and watching sports. Later in life, you would find him in his chair smoking a Marlboro and watching an old western.

Mr. Dorsey was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Cindy; four sisters; three brothers; daughter Cindy Lou; grandson Ronnie Carroll Jr.; and great-granddaughter Raelynn Dorsey. He is survived by four children; Sandi, Sherri, Perry III (JR), and Jimmy; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on July 27, 2023 with a viewing at 11 a.m. and funeral to follow at 12p.m. Graveside services to follow after in Rosedale Cemetery.
