Born March 27, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Horace Mills and Miriam Foster Doyle.
Robert was in trucking and sales throughout his lifetime.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine V. Doyle.
He is survived by one daughter, Joanne Humphreys of Hedgesville, twin sons, Terry C. Doyle of Ft. Worth, Texas and Larry R. Doyle of Martinsburg, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held by Pastor Chuck Donivan at Rosedale Funeral Home on June 20, 2016 at 2 pm.
