Robert Anthony Lupinacci, passed away on October 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on May 16, 1944, in Stamford, Connecticut, to the late Arthur and Julia (Calario) Lupinacci, Bob’s life was one of dedication—to his country, his family, and his many passions. He graduated from Darien High School before proudly enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served honorably for four years.
After completing his military service, Bob pursued his love of learning and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from Indiana University.
Bob found joy in many things—particularly watching track and field, and playing tennis and football—but his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Betty “Schoots” Lupinacci; his two sons: Sasha and his wife Jennifer Lupinacci, and Shawn Lupinacci and his wife Jennifer Derengowski; and his four grandsons—Alex, Chris, Gio, and Oliver—who proudly called him Opa and brought him endless pride and happiness.
He is also survived by his brother Art Lupinacci; sister Bernice; step-brother Larry D’Angelo and his wife Tina; step-sister Elizabeth; cousin Joey; one niece and several nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Izabella Lupinacci, whose memory he held close to his heart.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 12:00pm until the start of his memorial service at 4:00pm, at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
