

Robert Borden Miller Jr., 79, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, passed away on June 26, 2026. Born on March 4, 1947, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Robert Borden Miller Sr. and Doris Carroll Miller.
Throughout his life, Robert was deeply beloved by those who knew him—steady in his devotion to family, and marked by a hard-working spirit that showed itself in the many ways he chose to serve and stay engaged with the world around him. In his younger years, he spent many years enjoying caving, embracing the challenge and wonder it offered.
For many years, Robert was a member of the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, giving his time and effort with quiet dedication and a sense of responsibility that earned lasting respect.
One of Robert’s favorite things was spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Ellen Miller; sons: John (Chloe Edmonstone) Miller, James (Samantha) Miller and David Miller; daughter, Emily (Steve Zimmerman) Miller; and 4 grandchildren.
A gathering of Friends and Family will be held at Rosedale Funeral Home on July 6, 2026, at 10 am until the start of the Funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
