Roger A. Bartles

Born on June 19, 1974, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of Margaret Erskine and the late Robert L. Bartles.

Roger was known for his hard-working, compassionate, and kind-hearted nature. He worked at Maxx Fiberglass for many years, where he exhibited dedication and strong work ethic.

On June 23, 2017, he married the late Beverly Kaye Hopwood. Roger was a devoted father, known for his amazing sense of humor, big heart, and overall great personality. In his personal time, Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing, eagerly anticipating the day he could share these passions with his grandchildren. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters: Dusti Cheyenne Bartles and Courtney Marie Bartles; twin brother, Robert Harold Bartles; twin sisters: Angelica Marie Cooper and Crystal Louise Ring; four grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; fiancee, Dawn Shipe; godmother, Linda Patricia Stilwell; and closest friend, "Granpa" Dan Mann

In addition to his father and and his wife, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alayia Rae-Louise Kerns; godfather, Gary Lee Stilwell; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Family and friends will be received at Rosedale Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hedgesville Cemetery.
