Sereena Samuels

Sereena was a spirited and determined individual who carved her own path in life, gaining many friends along the way. She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend to many.

Sereena graduated from Martinsburg High School and attended Potomac State University, before entering into the workforce. She spent the last eight years working for Greater New Jersey Creative Counseling as the Program Director. Her strategic vision and relentless work ethic not only propelled her career but also helped improve the efficiency and productivity of her company.

Sereena devoted much of her time to her daughter Brooklynn and fulfilling her passions in both Ballet & Girl Scouts. Sereena never missed an opportunity to volunteer at Brooklynn’s school or assist with her dance recitals. She was committed to supporting Brooklynn’s every dream.

Sereena is survived by her daughter: Brooklynn Gass; her mother Kimberly Caylor; her father: Isaac Samuel; her siblings: Lena Mahoney, Trisha Samuel, Donte Peterschmidt, Toniesha Hardeman, Deneka Caylor, Khadija Samuels, Dondrill White, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sereena will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile, joking nature and generosity. Sereena made a lasting impact on everyone she met and She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues and community.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg, WV.
