Born September 19, 1944 in Huntington, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Abigail Colburn.
After graduating from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in 1966, she worked as a systems analyst for many corporations throughout her career that spanned over forty years. She was most proud of her work for NASA at Goddard Space Flight Center from 1968-1972, during the Apollo space flight missions.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years, Richard Ruest; her children: Christopher A. Ruest (Megan Little), Peter M. Ruest (Erin Arnold), and Jeffrey S. Ruest (Amber Ruest); her grandchildren: Peyton, Dilyn, Ashlyn, Jaxson, Alex, and Julia; and her brother, James Colburn.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hedgesville High School Athletic Department.
