

Born October 30, 1919, she was the daughter of Dr. John C. Wolf and Nellie Virginia Gano Wolf of Martinsburg. She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School Class of 1937.
She and her husband, Lewis Burr Porterfield Jr., owned and operated Porterfield’s Garage and Studebaker Dealership from 1948 to 1966. They owned and operated the Ron-De Motel for 25 years, 1963 to 1988. Virginia was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of the Christ Reformed Church. She was an avid Martinsburg Basketball supporter. She enjoyed flying with her husband who was a pilot, traveling in their Cessna Skylane all over the United States. She loved cooking and baking, always making a special Birthday cake for everyone.
She is survived by sons Ron Burr Porterfield and wife Jo Ann, James W. Porterfield, and wife Sherry, Daughters; Brenda Lee Porterfield Mullin and husband Mike, and Sally Lois Porterfield.

Rhonda Porterfield and Mark Hull, Andrew Burr Porterfield and April, Lauren Porterfield and Dave Oblak, Jennifer Joyce Porterfield, Eric and Hope O’Roke, Dr. Sean and Terry Mullin, Brendan and Christy Mullin, Losca and William Whittington, Daniel and Jennifer Porterfield and Sarah V. Jenkins.
Nine Great Grandchildren:
Rachel and Blake Hull, Aidan Burr and Alec Porterfield, Alexa and Brenna Oblak, McKenna R. Mullin, Lathan Porterfield, Taylor Porterfield, and William Whittington and De’Shawn Jenkins, Reed and Avery O’Roke.
She is also survived by brothers, Robert L. Wolf and wife Dorothy, Jean Wolf Herzog and husband Bill, Sue Henry and husband Bill, sister-in-law Fran Wolfe, and brother-in-law Tommy Bell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by husband Lewis Burr Porterfield, Jr. in 1995. Brothers, Frank, George and John Curtis Wolf, sisters, Peggy Wolf Bell and daughter-in-law Peggy Collins Porterfield, sister-in-law Harriet Britchner Wolf, infant brothers and sister Nelly Wolf and John G. Wolf, and her dearest Aunt Eliza Gano.
Numerous nieces and nephews and a special thanks to her caregivers: Dana, Gladys, Christina, Teresa, and Joyce, who took extremely good care of Virginia.
