Born May 24, 1949 in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late Edward and Josephine Jones.
Buster was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including Vietnam Service Star, National Defense Service Medal and Marksman Badge (M-14 Rifle). He was previously employed by superior Paving Corporation and later owned his own lawn care service “BJ’s mowing” until earlier this year when his health began to fail.
He was a member of the Kingdom Life Cathedral Ministries, Inc., where he served faithfully as licensed Elder. Buster also had a passion for community outreach and spent once a month ministering to the residents at Shenandoah Care (Nursing Home).
Buster’s memory will forever be cherished by: his wife, Patricia Jones; three sons, William “DJ” Jones, Jr. of Martinsburg, William “Jake” Galloway of Baltimore, and Franklin Galloway of Pittsburgh; one daughter, Denise Johnson of Martinsburg; two step-daughters, Nichelle Hosby of Martinsburg and Tanya Adams at home; eight grandchildren and two great grand-children; three sisters, Christine Bailey and Amelia Stevenson (John) both of Berryville, Virginia and Barbara Jonson of Capitol Heights, Maryland; two brothers; George Jones (Joan) of Berryville, Virginia and Paul Jones (Dale) of Mount Rainier, Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Stacy Adams; three sisters, Mary Allen, Linda Meekins, Lydia Harrison; three brothers, Charles, Samuel and Chester Jones.
A celebration of life will be held at Kingdom Life Cathedral Ministries, 551 Willow Spring Dr., Charles Town, on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00am with Apostle Sterling V. Porter III officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg.
