Brian Hiram Bond

Brian was born on January 18, 1925 to Hiram and Elizabeth Bond in Courtenay, N. Dakota. Brian was married on November 20th, 1948 to Margaret Ashe and they were happily married for 67 years. He was a Navy WWII veteran. Brian worked in education for 30 years, starting as a teacher at Granite Falls High School, then moving to the Everett School District where for many years he was a teacher and counselor at Hawthorne Elementary. Brian also taught evening Adult Education classes for many years at Everett Community College. Brian was an active member within the Everett community and Holy Cross Catholic Church of Granite Falls working with community organizations and involvement in the coaching and umpiring of youth sports. He enjoyed playing pinochle with friends, loved woodworking, fishing, camping with the Golden Campers and spending time with family. He will be missed.

Brian is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, John (Ginny) Bond, Joel (Debbie) Bond, Mark (Cheryl) Bond, Susan (Mark) Verbon, and Marie (Troy) Jones; thirteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Granite Falls with a committal service to follow at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Cemetery.
