
Charles (Chuck) Clyde Miller of Marysville, WA passed away peacefully on Saturday January 17th, 2015 with Mary, his loving wife of 50 years, at his side.
Chuck was born in Aberdeen on June 3rd, 1940 to William and Virginia Miller. He was the youngest of six boys (William Wallace Miller, Earl Eugene Miller, James Joseph Miller, Louis Leon Miller and Robert Raymond Miller.
Chuck graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1958 and earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Seattle University where he met his future wife and best friend Mary Victor. He went on to dental school at the University of Washington and remained a proud and passionate Husky all his life.
Chuck enlisted in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside California where he took care of the dental needs of the Marines there. He later returned to the Pacific Northwest where he started his dental practice in Marysville, Washington with his longtime friend and partner Gordon Conn.
He was the proud, devoted and loving father of four children; Melissa Sue Burum (Maurice), Charles Patrick Miller (Kelley), Elizabeth Ann Rogers (Scott) and Trina Marie Miller. He was blessed with five wonderful grandchildren (Reece, Chase, Alex, Meghan and Mia) whom he loved dearly and frequently spent time with. His face lit up every time he saw or spoke of them, he was such a loving grandfather.
Chuck was an avid tennis player who always looked forward to his weekly doubles matches with his friends at the tennis club. He loved the outdoors, whether he was hiking in the Olympics, digging razor clams on the coastal beaches, sailing his Hobie-Cat on Port Susan or fishing in Sitka Alaska with friends and family. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife and kids and spending his summers at their cabin on Tulare Beach.
Chuck was generous with his time with family, friends and the local community. He frequently volunteered at the local food bank and St. Mary's Church where he handled the finances for over 20 years.
He was a devoted family man whose wit and welcoming smile will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church (4200 88th Street NE, Marysville, WA 98270) on Saturday January 24th, 2015 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association
