Charles Robert Olson

Charles Robert Olson was born November 16, 1988 in Everett, WA to Robert and Evelyn (Lusby) Olson. He graduated from Marysville-Pilchuck High School in 2007. He later graduated with an Associate’s degree from Everett Community College, and earned several computer certificates. He also became a certified lifeguard.

Charles most recently worked as a bus driver for the Edmonds School District. His real passion, though, was teaching children to swim, for which he dreamed of getting his own pool to grow his part-time school - Red Sky Lessons, into a full-time venture.

More significantly, however, Charles was a man who loved God and was generous with his time and money. He was always looking out for people in need. He was playful and had a goofy sense of humor. If Charles came into your home, you were likely going to be blessed with laughter, minor repair work, and thoughtful gifts.

Charles’ life was tragically cut short. He passed away at his home in Edmonds, WA on July 17th, 2026. Friends and family are invited to join us for a memorial service to be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home at 804 State Ave, Marysville, WA 98270 on Monday, July 27th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Marysville Cemetery located at 8801 State Ave at 2:00 p.m.
