Darrel Dean Erichsen

05/03/1934 – 09/22/2026

Darrel was born in Rembrandt, Iowa on May 3rd, 1934 to Erma and Henry Erichsen. He passed September 22nd, 2026 at the age of 92 with his loved ones present. He was very proud to be the first member of his family to get to 92 years old.

He married the love of his life Darlene on November 28th, 1952. They were married for 73 years. He was a life long carpenter and in the carpenter's union for around 45 years, working his way up to superintendent positions. He was also a licensed building inspector for Snohomish county before retiring.They moved all over the country and settled in Washington. In his younger years, he loved bowling, fishing and hunting. In retirement, he served numerous positions at Normanna Lodge in Everett, including President for two terms. He enjoyed being one of the cooks for pancake breakfast and the weekly card games. He was also a decades long member of Bethlehem Lutheran church in Marysville. He and Darlene also helped start the Compassionate Friends chapter with Jim & Jan Shipman in the 80's for parents that lost children after the loss of their son Philip. They were active with it for approximately 20 years.If you ever needed anything he would be there for you. Dad was a man of his word.

Darrel and Darlene had 5 children (in birth order): Pam, Perry (wife Sue), Paula (husband Dave), Philip and Paul (wife Tashell). Grandchildren Amy, Angie, Kenny, Justin and Jonathan. Great grandchildren Mischa, Cody and Gabbie. Great-great grandchildren Brayden and Kade. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins from Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethlehem Lutheran Church are welcomed.

Viewing from 11am-12pm Wednesday September 30th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville. The funeral will follow at 12pm. Laid to rest after at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park cemetery in Everett.
