Dean Rocky Franz

He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on April 4, 1960.

Dean graduated from Cedar Lake Academy and received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Walla Walla University.

On Sunday, December 16, 1984, Dean married the love of his life, Debe and they had one child, Derek.

Dean had a career in civil engineering and worked for Parsons, Tetra Tech and Perteet, as well as other engineering firms over his 37 year career.

He was a proud member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), the Rotary Club of Lake Stevens and the Snohomish County Committee to Improve Transportation (SCCIT).

Dean had a passion for many things including photography, hiking, camping, serving others, history, philosophy, traveling and practicing his faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debe; son, Derek (Christina); parents, Ken and Norma; sister, Julene (Andy) and nephew Mason.

A service for Dean will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:30am at Elim Lutheran Church in Lake Stevens, WA.

~ Samaritan's Purse, an international humanitarian aid organization that Dean supported financially. @samaritanspurse
