Deborah Ann Duffy, 63, of Marysville Washington (previously from Greenwood Pennsylvania) passed away on July 15, 2017 in Everett Washington. She was born April 21, 1954 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Marvin “Bob” and Regina Hocking. She made her move to the west coast in 1982, where she lived in Oregon for a brief period before she moved to Washington. She had a variety of jobs throughout her life, up until 1997 when she fell ill through a series of strokes and later needed a heart transplant. She lived 19 years post strokes and heart transplant which is incredibly rare – she was a very brave and courageous fighter, up until the very end. If you ask anyone who knew Deborah, they would tell you that she was unique, full of life, and just a joy to be around. Deborah is survived by her husband, Robert Duffy; daughter, Rebecca Duffy; as well as her brother, Robert Hocking; and sister, Janet Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at Windsor Square Retirement Facility on Saturday, August 26th. We encourage anyone who was touched by Deborah’s radiating light and love to join us in remembering her beautiful soul.
Arrangements under the direction of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville, WA.
