Grandpa im so lost lately. Losing you then dad and uncle all 3 years apart. Where do i turn to ? How do I find direction? You where always so full of answers. I never feared of losing my way or not having a reasonable way to get there when you were with me. I miss you and grandma every day. Please watch over me.

I am another of Donald's first cousins. We didn't keep in touch regularly but I will nevertheless miss him. His father was my mother's brother and we saw the family during our childhoods. Donald spent a few days at my home in Huntington Beach, CA a few years ago and caught me up to date on his life. And I might add, a very interesting life!

My dear friend is no longer in this world.  I will miss him.  We had been friends since 1970.  At times, we agreed to disagree.  That is what friends do.  He helped me through hurtles in my life, as I like to think that I did the same.  Paunch, I heard about you for years.  I wish I had met you.  A memory....way back in about 1974/75 The State of Alaska employees went on strike.  Don was involved in Juneau as I was in Seward, AK.  Has the whole State tied up except the ferry the Tustemina out of Seward which was due to sail in about an hour and a half.  It was 10:oo pm.  We made a plan.   Tossed my clothes on. Went to Tony's Bar and found the drunkest guy and offered im $10 to carry the quickly made sign at the dock to stop the Tustamenia.  Don and I made it happened.  Funny

He was my role model, my teacher , my employer, my advisor. we lost a great man. I will remember him for ever.

I am one of Don's first cousins on his Father's side of the family.  I am sad that we never met each other, we talked of doing so many times. Over the last twelve years, we had talked many times on the phone as well as exchanged e-mails, I enjoyed hearing about his life.  My sincere sympathy to all of you.  Carole Beckman Boon

We just found out about Don's passing, we loved Don and Marti.  We would have attended his service had we known.  Our love to Brian and Brad and those grandkids.  So sad for their loss but heaven's gain.

I enjoyed visiting with Don at Marysville Paint, turned out he knew my family from Juneau!
RIP, until we meet again!

I am proud to have been an acquaintance and "friend" of Don. I am only sorry I had not seen him in many years.

He is/was a great Christian and will be waiting at heavens gate when we all arrive.

Thank you Uncle Don for getting me started with a love of electronics and radio.  I still have your old key set.  I guess you won't need it anymore. Thanks for making my life more interesting.

I enjoyed my Uncle Don for his eternal optimism and fun-loving nature. I admired him for his concern for our country and for the way he cared for those around him. I will miss him, but I have confidence that he is in the presence of his Savior and Lord Jesus-Christ

Don was always there when you needed him as a friend and/or a father figure. He always seemed to have the right answers at the right time. Always positive and always reassuring things would work themselves out somehow. And if you had time he could tell you a really good story. I am proud to have spent the time I had with my friend.
