

Doris May MacDonald was born September 15, 1924 to Emil and Marie Kiesser of Bozeman, Montana. As a young girl with a house full of brothers, Doris moved with her family to Washington State. In Anacortes, working at the fish hatchery, Doris met the owner’s son and they fell in love. Doris and H.A. (Alex) MacDonald were married September 5, 1946. Together they raised a son and daughter, were foster parents, farmers, active in their community, and dedicated to their church, Lake Stevens Assembly of God. Doris also served as an activities director for Warm Beach Manor for 14 years. In her free time, Doris played the piano, organ, accordion, directed a bell choir, and sang with the Everett Chorale.
Doris left this earth on June 16, 2023. She is now with her Savior and reunited with her husband of nearly 53 years. She was also preceded in death by her her son, David MacDonald, and all five of her brothers.
She leaves behind her daughter, Marie Weiss (Frank), of Marysville and two grandchildren, Larry Nordine, of Marysville and Amie Putnam (David), of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She also leaves behind 8 great grandchildren, Alexander (Ashley), Andrew, Elizabeth, Matthew, Claire, Jeremiah, Adeline, and Luke.
The most important relationship in Doris’ life was the one with Jesus. She loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, and soul.

There will be a private graveside service July 1, 2023, at Cypress Lawn in Everett.
