He was born November 22, 1945 in Great Falls, Montana. He was raised in Spokane, WA and served in Vietnam. He then moved to Seattle and worked as a Plasterer for many years. He was proud to have the opportunity to work on several beautiful homes on Mercer Island but his favorite projects were the ones that involved ornamental plastering. He worked on crews that restored the ornate details in the Washington State Capitol and St. James Cathedral in Seattle.
Dorsey loved to play golf and spent countless hours playing his guitar. But most of all, he loved his gamily. Nothing brought the light to his eyes more than spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta DeWitt; daughter, Stacy (John Markie) DeWitt; step-daughter, Sandi (Walt) Palkewick; sister, Sheila (Gabe) Herner; grandchildren, Christopher and Robbie Urlaub, Shaun Foldvik and Autumn Palkewick.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
