Edna Pearl Walker

Edna was born at Bengaugh, Saskatchewan, Canada on March 4, 1930 to Robert and Ruth Toner. She attended grade school at Waniska, a one room prairie school. She moved to British Columbia in 1948 with her parents, younger brother, George and younger sister, Katherine. She attended Maple Ridge High School in Haney, British Columbia. She married Eric Henschell on April 17, 1954 at Haney, British Columbia. Edna and Eric moved to Ventura, CA in October 1955 where their daughter, Nancy was born in December 1955. Their son Daniel was born in May 1961 in Oxnard, CA.

Edna main line of work was with food as a grocery clerk and a cook. She loved to do gardening and loved her family and grandchildren.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Toner, her husband Eric Henschell; brothers, Earl, Alvin, Elmer, Alfred, Harold and Ray; and sisters, Sadie and Alice. Edna is survived by her husband Donald Walker; daughter, Nancy Franklin; son, Daniel Henschell; step-daughters, Pamela DeBeneddetti and Leslie Walker; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.

Services will be held Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Marysville Cemetery.
