Gerda Barbara Grant

She was born on Friday, September 21, 1951 in Kirchheim Teck, Germany. Gerda lived in Germany until she met and married the love of her life, George. They were married on August 17, 1972. George and Gerda were married for 44 beautiful years and would have celebrated 50 years on August 17, 2022.

Gerda lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed so many things in life like reading, gardening, playing games on her computer, crocheting blankets for her family, but being a mother was at the top of the list. She was also a wonderful Oma and spent as much time as possible with her five grandchildren. She had a special bond with Kristopher and he called her "Mugga". Holidays and and birthdays were her favorite times because she got to spend that time with her family and that is something she truly loved.

Gerda is preceded in death by her loving husband, George W. Grant Sr. Also welcoming her to heaven is her mother and father, Alfred and Sofie Angelmeier; her brother Werner Angelmeier and sister Doris Oberg, and her son George W. Grant Jr as well as many unborn grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gerda is lovingly remembered by her sons, Neil Grant and Werner Grant, her grandchildren Kaylee (Keaton) Campbell, Collin Grant, Kaiden Grant, Kionna Grant, Kristopher Grant, as well as her daughters Roberta Johnson and Lisa Bole. She is also an Oma to her great granddaughter Kahleia.

A funeral service for Gerda will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 3:00 PM at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Ave, Marysville, WA 98270.
