

Jack Ellis Vadset, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on March 13, 1942, and lived a life full of laughter, adventure, and deep love for the people closest to him.
Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his family. He had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, and his laugh could fill a room and instantly bring smiles to those around him. His larger-than-life personality, sense of humor, and caring heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
Jack truly loved the outdoors. Whether he was out fishing, crabbing, snowmobiling, or simply enjoying time near the water, he was happiest surrounded by the people he loved most. He also loved building things and took pride in working with his hands, always finding joy in creating, fixing, and making something meaningful. Some of the best family memories were made alongside him on fishing trips, crabbing adventures, snowmobile rides, and gatherings filled with stories, laughter, and love.
Above all else, family was Jack’s greatest joy. He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda; his children, Susan (Jon) and Dean (Linda); his grandchildren, Amanda, Sheela, Nicole, and Felecia; and 11 great-grandchildren who will continue to carry on his legacy of strength, love, and laughter.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
