

She was born February 18, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Washington to Henry and Geraldine Williams. Jeanne was a Swinomish Tribal Member. She dedicated her career to Indian Education and was on the first board for Indian Child Welfare. She was also a member of the Washington State Indian Education Association. She was an avid Washington Husky fan.
She is survived by her husband, Mark James; children, Kurtis James, LeVena (Matt) Barlow, Marcie (Ed) Lozeau, Margie James; siblings, Linda Day, Ron Williams, and Ray Williams; two brothers-in-law, Chuck James Jr. and his wife, Illene, and Lenny James; grandchildren Amanda Hansen, Michael Lozeau, Olive Barlow, and Elijah Barlow; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin James; her parents; Siblings, Joey Wilson, Warren Wilson, Marcia Williams, Richard Williams, Gerald Williams, and Henry Williams Jr.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Schaefer-Shipman with an Interfaith service following at 6:00 PM at the Tulalip Tribal Gym. Service Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Tulalip Gym with burial following at Mission Beach Cemetery.
