With heavy hearts, we are announcing the passing of Jennifer Suzanne Klaus, a beloved daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was born Jennifer Suzanne Wilson on April 19, 1971, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Charles Edward (Joey) Wilson Jr. and Barbara Eleanor (Hildebrand) Wilson.
Jennifer was brought to her home in Canadensis, Pennsylvania, where her five year-old brother Matthew was waiting.
While still a baby, her family moved to the Phoenix, Oregon area for a few years, then they moved to Farmington, New Mexico. During middle school, Jenn and her mother moved to Gold Hill, Oregon, where she continued her schooling through graduation.
Jenn met her future husband, Shawn Pyrik Klaus, through friends from school and started their loving relationship in February of 1991, both attending college in Ashland, Oregon. Jennifer and Shawn moved to Reno, Nevada for some time, eventually settling in the Seattle, Washington area. After 11 years, they decided to make their relationship formal on July 24, 2002, in Redmond, Washington with a small intimate ceremony.
Jenn loved her dogs and they were very much a part of her family. She was devoted to her family and friends and did whatever she could with them and for them.
Jenn enjoyed crafts such as beading, woodburning, and creating custom travel mugs. She often cooked and crafted for family and friends at Christmas time. She could also be found camping and fishing with family in Wyoming or Idaho or growing flowers and helping in her mother’s vegetable garden.
