Jewell was born Dec. 9, 1929 in Plainview, Texas to Thomas and Dorothy Barnes. Jewell worked as a telephone operator. After her retirement she got a job as a greeter at Wal-mart which she thoroughly enjoyed.
She leaves her two children, Mark Parrett and Joanna Kylmanen; her two sisters, MaryLou Pierce and Laura Richardson; her brother, Thomas Barnes; and three grandchildren, Brody Parrett, Caleb Parrett and Conner Kylmanen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Parrett and her second husband, A. Marvin Larson.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 11:00 am at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at the Marysville Cemetery.
