Jim Allen Matheson

Jim was a long time resident of Marysville, Washington where he owned and operated several businesses. He was an active member of his community serving on numerous boards and committees. He was highly respected.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Donna George Barrett; father, Charles Matheson; step-father, Delbert Barrett; and beloved sister, Merle Carpenter.

Jim was deeply proud of his family and loved them very much.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sandra; his son, Shawn and Nancye Matheson of Bellevue WA and their children, Ben, Dailey, Lily and Henry; daughter, Holly Kautzman of Issaquah WA and her children, Connor and Ella; his step-children, Kimberli and Mike Royal of Marysville, WA and their children, Joseph Royal, Joshua and Micaela Royal; great-granddaughter, Claire Jodi Torie of Marysville, WA and her son, Michael Torie. Jay and Shannon Wilkins of Thousand Oaks, CA and their daughter, Cianna. Lisa Dugan of Thousand Oaks, CA and her children, Taylor, Trevor, Sophia and Samuel. Jim also leaves his sisters, Penny and John Brockwell of Wenatchee, WA, June and Bob Goehner of Grayland, WA, Nancy Worley of Monroe WA, Phyllis and Don Copeland of Wenatchee, WA; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins; and many, many wonderful and dear friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Schaefer Shipman Funeral Home located at 804 State Ave in Marysville, WA. Reception to follow.

Donations to the Parkinsons Foundation may be made in Jim's name. He gave all the time and this would please him.
