

John Raymond Hollo passed away July 21, 2013 at the age of 90. He was born in Tracy, Minnesota on December 21, 1922. He married Linda Schut and celebrated 60 years of marriage before her death in 2006.
John was a farmer in Minnesota. He packed up and worked his way across country, building dams, bridges, and grain elevators, till he made his way to Everett, Washington where he settled with his wife, Linda, and young son. They raised five children and lived in Everett until he retired to Lake McMurray. After retirement, he spent many years working for "Hard Hats for Christ", and at Camp Brotherhood.
John eventually moved to Gen Care in Granite Falls, Washington. He endeared himself to the staff and residence with his gentle and caring ways. He always had a smile and a kind word and was often found chatting with friends at the round table.
His family meant everything to him and he loved getting together with them at the holidays.
John is survived by sons: Vernon (Carolyn), Charles, Wayne (Marty), Joel (Linda) and daughter, Gloria. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John also leaves behind a sister. Luella Rieger and his longtime friends, the Three Musketeers, George Green, Tony Bundy, and Bob Oliphant.
A private family service will be held.
