John Wesley Larson

He was born in Hong Kong on August 8, 1934 to Ejnar and Rose Larson.

After graduating from Arlington High School, John earned two Masters Degrees in Religion from Western Evangelical Seminary in Oregon.

On Friday, September 7, 1956, he married the love of his life, J. Grace Callar Larson.

John spent his career as a minister for Wesleyan-Free Methodist Denomination. John also spent time as a driver for Portland Tri-Met Bus Co., which he retired from.

He was a member of several religious organizations and had a passion for people, and most of all God and his family, who he loved dearly.

John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Grace. He is also survived by his children; son, Wesley Larson; daughters, Jewell Harmon, Janel Olson, Cindy Tuning and their spouses; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, as well as his brother Herb Larson and sister Ruth Stamper.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 3:00pm at Arlington Free Methodist Church
