John 14: 1-3

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Kathy’s faith and hope was in the Lord, to her last breath she thought of all of her loved ones who went before her and knew that she would be joyfully reunited with them. She also knew that those who were left behind: her daughter, Caryn Whitacre (Son-in-Law Ted Whitacre) son Christopher (Chris) Walling, along with her granddaughter Miranda Mead and her brother Joe Duffy, her dearest friend of 44 years, Terry Anderson and daughter Danielle DiBonaventura who was like a daughter to Kathy will mourn her loss.

What would Kathy like to say if she were giving her eulogy?

I, Kathy Walling, mother, friend, co-worker, am grateful for the years between my birth and death. I hope that I have brought joy, laughter, encouragement and love to those with whom I have encountered along this journey. I have enjoyed many memorable events with family and friends. I have traveled to Hong Kong, Hawaii, Alaska and other cruises, I have been blessed.

Kathy would tell you that she was very proud of her daughter, Caryn who recently received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and her son Chris who dedicated the past 5 years of his life as her Caregiver. She would tell you that life is just a blink of an eye; we never know when our last breath will be our final breath. Live life to the fullest, make each moment count.

Now that my journey on this earth has ended, rejoice with me family and friends because I am in my heavenly home, with a new and healthy body and in the presence of God.

My wishes are that a private celebration of my life be held at the special place where I have cherished memories. If you are so inclined donations can be made in my honor to the American Cancer Society via their online web page.
