

Larry of the Clan Logan, Baron of Restalrig passed away Wednesday August 12, 2015. He was a young 73 years old. He was born at Fort Vancouver, in Vancouver, WA on April Fool’s Day in 1942 to Mabel Oleta Bellamy. Larry served his country, in Company A, 1st Battalion, 29th Infantry of the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1965. He was a heavy weapons operator and trained soldiers in capture and interrogation for Special Forces. On May 5, 1962, he married his beautiful wife Carol Lee Davis, in Overland, Kansas. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, they were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple for time and all eternity in December of 1971. Larry also served as a Police Officer for seven years. He was an officer in Los Angeles during the Watt’s Riots. He then became Marshall in Cambridge, Nebraska, only to finish out his career as Chief of Police in Gothenburg, Nebraska. The Larry that we all knew and loved today was the big hearted, helpful insurance agent, that always had a joke to tell. Larry always enjoyed working with the scouts and teaching the youth in church. Larry was also a big fan of basketball, always playing “left tackle.” Larry was a man of strong moral character. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his Wife Carol of 53 years, Sister Marietta, Brother Dennis, Children, Michael, Michelle, Alex, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 172nd St NE in Smokey Point at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 22. 2015.
