My Dearest Marc, today would have been our 28th Wedding Anniversary, such a painful day to not have you here by my side.  I sit and remember our special day and the joys, the sorrows, the love and the laughter we shared all through the years and feel so very lost without you. Dearest Marc this year of facing all the "firsts" without you is the hardest thing for us all...Christmas was our favorite time of year with our family and sharing in all our traditions we built together over the years.  We celebrated your life at a Christmas memorial service and lit a candle in honor of your life.  I miss you so very much right now, your in my thoughts in every Christmas tree, lights, carols, our favorite holiday movies, everything and don't know how to get through this Christmas without you here by my side.  Thank you to Pastor John Mason, Jessica and staff at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home for such a beautiful Christmas service that helped our whole family so much in not only our grief but in keeping Marc's memory alive!

My Darling Marc, my soulmate, today would have been your 60th Birthday the one we always joked about together.  I love and miss you more than words can say and will drive to our special place today just to feel you near me!  We all try so very hard to carry on without you but life will never ever be the same without you here by our sides!  Happy Birthday to the love of my life...I love you!

Dearest Marc today is the 6 month anniversary of your passing but it feels like you left only yesterday as there is not a day goes by where we don't shed a tear and miss you.  We are all here together on the vacation we booked together last year after our wonderful trip where you wanted us all to come back together so here we are and this morning just as the sun rose and the moon still in the sky we all walked out into the lake and scattered your ashes in the shape of a heart.  We all walked back on to the sand and look down and there in front of us was a beautiful white paper heart lying neatly on the sand, a little sign you were with us.  We love and miss you so very much words could never begin to explain the empty space you have left in our hearts...we talk to you each and every day.  Today we are all going on the boat to travel down the lake you loved so much last year... I love you Marc and miss you so much it hurts..... Forever in our hearts till we meet once again! Our family just passed the one month anniversary of the passing of a wonderful husband and father and not a second, minute, hour, day or week has passed that we have not cried and wanted him back by our sides.  We miss him so much the pain has been unbearable for us all.  We want to take this time out to thank each and everyone of our friends and family for the beautiful cards, flowers, food and constant loving support to help us all through this....you know who you all are and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything as it meant more than you could ever know.  Also thanks to my daughters friends, coworkers and Costco for their love and support and food after the service as it meant so much! Although we hadn't seen each other in many years, we were always kindred spirits and friends. Your sage advice during our correspondence between 1974-1986 helped me make the transition from adolescent to adult, and our trip together to Canada in 1986 led me eventually to my wonderful wife and family. Rest in peace dear cousin Marc.

Dad,

Our lives will never be the same as they were before February 13th.  You have left us too soon but we know you are not gone.  I have always said to you that every man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad. I want to thank you for loving us unconditionally. Thank you for lending an ear and listening whenever it was needed. You  always had a way of giving advice to us that felt as though you had the right answer, but all you were really doing is listening and giving some input but in the end we were making our own decisions through all of your loving support.  You gave Mum 27 years of beautiful loving memories and truly are her soul mate.  It feels as though time is at a stand still right now without you here as all of us just wish for one more big comforting hug of yours, a kiss,  to hear your voice and see your famous trademark smile that we all cherish even more now.  I give you my promise that I will take care of Mum with Sarah, Marc and Jenna, although I know now that you are our angel now taking care and protecting us from above.  You were the best Papa two little girls could ever ask for and I thank you for all the beautiful memories that Emma and Ashley will forever cherish in their hearts. Stay close as we can feel you are with us and it is helping us as we transition in this new journey. It is not goodbye but til we all meet again. We will all miss you so so much. I love you so so much with all my heart Dad. xoxox

While we didn't see each other often (3000 miles distance being a handicap) I always had a great time with you and Michele.  I think we were kindred spirits in many ways, born just a few weeks apart, having lots in common. You were a great guy and I was happy and proud to have you as my cousin.
