

Mary Kay Maltos (Near) was born to Fred Near and Polly Carlson on December 1st 1969 in Everett Washington. She was the youngest of two children and loved her one and only sister Christy Simpson dearly. Mary was a very ambitious person she went to Everett community college for cosmetology school and did hair on anyone and everyone for years and will be remembered for her good style and true god given talent in the beauty industry. She loved animals especially Persian cats and had a good amount of beautiful Persian cats throughout the years that she cherished. She loved gardening and soaking up the sun she grew roses that can still be found at the home that her children were raised in. Mary had an everlasting faith in Jesus Christ she loved Jesus with every ounce of her being and spent a lot of her time preaching the word of god and leading others down the road to salvation. There was two people Mary thought of as her best friends her sister Christy who she leaned on for advice or a laugh or her fur baby rowdy who protected her and spent countless days by her side. She will always be remembered for her kindness and compassion for others she would go out of her way to help others and was a genuinely good person with a contagious laugh. Mary loved her children more than anything in this world and all she ever wanted was to be reunited with her family. Mary leaves behind her mother Polly Carlson her sister Christy Simpson and brother in law (Danny Simpson) her five children Nino, Demi, Jalen, Malia and Jordan “Maltos” her one and only Grandson Kaleo Jordan Enemy and one more grandchild on the way. Her childrens father Nino Maltos Sr. Whom she spent many years with. her nephews Danny jr., Michael and Brandon “Simpson”, her cousins Tracy and Darrin “near”, her aunts and namesake Mary (mark) and Kay (Joseph), her uncle Bruce and aunt Jodi And her precious sweet Fur Son Rowdy (aka her dog rowdy) she is preceded in death by her father Fred Near Aunts n uncles Mary n mark, Jodie. Preceeded by her beloved grandma Geraldine delebar, grandparents Bruce n Alice and father in law who she loved dearly.
A funeral service for Mary will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sauk Suiattle, Darrington, Washington.
Mary will be laid to rest in Sauk Suiattle Indian Cemetery.
