Norman C. Anderson, 84, of Lake Stevens passed away July 23, 2010 after a year long battle with congestive heart failure and diabetes.
Norman was born September 16, 1925 in Hartford, WA and grew up on the family farm. He graduated from Marysville High School with the class of 1943. Over those years he worked for the Lindborg Lumber Co., Scherrer and Davisson Logging Co., was a partner in WilMac Log, Inc., and finally retired from Miller Shingle Company in 1990.
Norman had many interests. He enjoyed fishing, especially at his favorite resort on Twin Lakes in Colville, WA. He shared his love for the steel guitar and country music playing at dances at the Granville Grange. He liked to travel. His road trips by car and RV took him across the US, he traveled in Mexico and also cruised the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. He loved to read National Geographic and had mind boggling recall; he spent hours watching the History Channel and was an expert critic of cable TV logging shows.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Anna Anderson.
