

Ray Allen Patterson, 83, of Marysville, Wash. passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 24, 2024. Ray was born on September 27, 1941 in Spokane, Wash., as one of two children to Donna and James Patterson.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Pam, and his stepson, Brian.
Ray was a proud Veteran who served many years in the U.S. Army and retired in 2004.
During his first marriage, Ray fathered four children, Deborah (Debbi), Ray, Pamela (Pam), and Jennifer. His second marriage brought him a stepson, Brian. He was a grandfather to seven grandchildren: David, Christina, Tyler, Jonathan, Jeremy, Lauren, and Sarah.
Ray is survived by his wife, Harriet, who he married in 1981 at Minehaha church in Spokane, Wash. Ray and Harriet met at a singles group through their church in Spokane and spent 43 wonderful years together.
Everyone who knew Ray knew that he enjoyed watching all sports, but his favorite was hockey. He spent many years as a Everett Silvertips season ticket holder. Most Saturday evenings you would find him either at a Tips game with his wife, Harriet, or watching from home. Sundays after church were reserved for watching the Seahawks.
Ray was a devoted Christian and cherished his relationship with Jesus Christ. In his later years he attended Reclamation Church. He also enjoyed his weekly bible lessons with his son, Ray.
Ray will be laid to rest in Tahoma National Cemetery. Ray’s family will be celebrating his life in Spring 2025.
