Regina was born September 18, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland to Carl and Daisy Miller. She was raised by Leonard and Lillian Phillips from the young age of one.
She graduated from Catonsville High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1963. It was here that she met her future husband Gordon Gray. They met through mutual friends at the high school and one of Gordon’s friends dared him to ask her out. He took that dare and they were married in 1964. They were married for 58 years and raised three children together.
She spent the next 13 years living and raising her children in Baltimore and in 1978 the family purchased an old school bus, painted and loaded their belongings to begin their journey to relocate to Vancouver, Washington. After spending several years in Vancouver, she moved to Wenatchee, Washington and later finally settled in Seattle, Washington. It was in Seattle that her and Gordon became apartment managers at Town and Country Apartments until they retired to Tulalip, Washington in 2020.
Regina enjoyed being around people and helping them in any way possible. She enjoyed growing both indoor and outdoor flowers and plants. Regina enjoyed antiques and collectibles and met many people participating in shows throughout the Portland, Seattle, Puyallup and Ocean Shores area, this is where she was really in her element and could strike up a conversation with anyone.
As an apartment manager for 28 years, she met many great people and was always that person that could make anyone feel at home and would go out of her way to help any way she could. If you needed a friend, a surrogate mom or counselor, she was there.
Regina is survived by her husband, Gordon Gray, her brothers and sisters; Joyce Emerson, Maynard “Mike” Miller, James “Jim” Miller, Karen Payne, Christine Miller, Debbie Miller, Gary Phillips, Cathy (Phillips) Pearson, her children; Stephanie (Dan) Lehman, Jeffery (Holly) Gray, Cynthia (John) Johnson, her grandchildren; Steven Lehman, Christina Lehman, Melissa Lehman, Allison Lehman, Crystal Fugere, Catherine Gray, Adam (Kayla) Gray, Jacalyn Gray and 5 great-grandchildren.
