Riley gave 110% to the things that mattered most to him. He loved war history and had considered a career as a college history professor. From the political aspect of the war to the types of weapons, tanks, and aircraft used, he could tell you all you needed to know, particularly about WWII. Riley not only enjoyed collecting knives, but he also taught himself how to "flip" them. And along with that came the need to learn how to doctor his many, many cuts. But that did not deter him in the least. Riley was committed, as many would tell you. Many of the other words used to describe the kind of young man Riley was include: gentle, silly, kind, quiet, a beautiful soul, smart, dependable, whimsical, and handsome. Riley loved to tell jokes and that was a very memorable thing to many. Riley had an incredible sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Riley is survived by his father Richard(Michelle), mother Jennie, and sister Katelyn; grandparents Walt & Pat; great grandmother Evelyn; aunts and uncles Steve(Arika), Shannon(Robert), Toni(Todd), Peggy(Rob), and Loni; and cousins Stephen M., Alicia, Christopher, Stephen S., Tyler, Jordan, Hannah, and Andrea.
Many of Riley's friends and family describe him as being an incredible friend, having an infectious smile, having eyes that showed his beautiful soul (along with a mischievous twinkle) and looking you in the eye like a man should, being the brightest star in the galaxy, and a golden boy that led us through the dark. Riley was a fun-loving son with a heart of gold. He was all a sister could ever ask for in a brother.
Join us as we celebrate the life of Riley on Saturday, February 10th, at 11am. Forest Glade Community Church, 19510 South Carpenter Road, Snohomish WA 98290. All are welcome.
