Robert Roy Coalwell

Robert Roy Coalwell age 70, of Arlington, Washington, passed away on the 6th of May 2021. He was born at home in Atascadero, California on the 17th of November 1950. Bob’s family moved to Washington when he was 15 years old. He graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1968, where he made two life-long friends, Richard Cejka and Robert Carlson. He briefly worked the green chain at Weyerhaeuser until he became a Journeyman Plumber in the 1970’s. He was a member of Local 26, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He served in the US Naval Reserve out of Sand Point Naval Station, Seattle, Washington. He loved to water ski and work on his classic cars. He married Elaine Matthiesen on the 28th of March 1970. They had two children then later adopted two children. He was a Scout Master, soccer coach and worked with the 4-H ATV program. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elaine, and one brother Leighton Paul Coalwell, Jr. Also by his children: Marc Coalwell, Trista Coalwell, Michael Coalwell and Imagine Coalwell. Six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and the many “children of his heart”. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
