Robert “Robin” Francis Land III, died unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his sleep at the age of 41 on July 16, 2022, at his home in Lake Stevens, Washington. He is survived by his wife Rae and their puppy Fiona, his stepdaughter, Emmie (Aaron) Scheffler, his parents Bob and Susan Land, his sister Simone (Jason) McArty, and his maternal grandmother Yvonne Farling, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Robin was born on 15 February 1981 in Frankfurt, Germany, to Robert “Bob” and Susan (née Farling) Land. He lived in Damascus, Syria, for a few years before his family returned to the U.S. Robin was a Carmel, Indiana, High School graduate (class of 1999) and a Purdue University graduate (2005). He married his soulmate, Rae, in 2013, and welcomed her daughter, Emmie, as his own. Robin had a successful career as a Production Quality Manager, at Verathon, in Bothell, Washington, where he worked for 14 years.
Robin had a beautiful smile, a great sense of humor, always told the best stories and hands down gave the greatest hugs. Among many other things, he loved new adventures, camping, hiking, cruising, bowling, frisbee golf, travel, books, the Indianapolis 500, and his pets Shrek and Fiona. Most of all he was a people-person, a devoted husband, an amazing friend, and all about family. He will always remain in our memories and in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 10655 Haverstick Road, Carmel, Indiana on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Funeral will begin at 10:30 am with visitation starting at 8:30 am. All are invited to a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.
